Women's Leadership
Development
Our Leadership for Just Futures team conducted a training with different professionals from social change organizations centred on Climate and Energy focusing on Adaptive Leadership framework.
Our key learnings were:
-
Using moments of uncertainty as opportunities – exploring how unsettled situations can become catalysts for learning, creativity, and thoughtful action.
-
Connecting individual motivation to collective goals – reflecting on how personal presence, energy, and commitment strengthen team effectiveness and shared purpose.
We were inspired by the curiosity, openness, and thoughtfulness participants brought to every session.

Foundational Trainings on
Organizing
Our Campaigns Strategy and Leadership team has been conducting foundational trainings since 2023 focused on the Leadership, Organizing , and Action framework of Harvard professor, Marshall Ganz. These trainings, supported by AktivAsia offered organizers strategic learning point into climate, energy, and gender justice movements. Designed to expand both skills and solidarity, these trainings brought together 84 organizers, campaigners and allies. Beyond organizing skills, the trainings created spaces for joy, experiential learning, shared reflection, and relationship-building across geographies, genders, and ethnicities.

Emerging Leadership
Development
Our Leadership for Just Futures team conducted a training with different professionals from social change organizations (centred on Climate and Energy) focusing on Adaptive Leadership.
Our key learnings were:
-
Adaptive leadership is a practice of mobilizing people on a shared purpose.
-
Effective leadership requires the intelligence to read systems clearly and to engage strategically, through differing modes of engagement like partnership and negotiation.

Feminist Leadership & Solidarity
Spaces
CSIDC designed and led two local and regional Feminist Adaptive Leadership Trainings with AktivAsia - spaces of restorative solidarity where women leaders paused, reconnected, and reimagined together. Participants reflected on how patriarchal conditioning had shaped and limited their leadership, explored organizing through a feminist lens, and reclaimed these concepts to build collective power, resilience, and joy.

People's Climate Collective (2023/24)
This locally rooted fellowship program by CSIDC (run in partnership with AktivAsia) strengthened leadership in grassroots campaigns working around Gender, Climate Justice and Energy Transition. The program blended residential workshops, monthly learning themes, campaign coaching, and milestone tracking, enabling organizers to become more strategic, build their base, and advocate effectively for their communities.
Over time, PCC produced a multiplying effect:
-
57 fellows became mentors in their own right, supporting 37 campaigns and embedding leadership capacity across some of the most under-resourced regions in the country.
-
The program also cultivated strong cross-movement solidarity, deepening relationships and alignment among activists nationwide..
